On May 15, 2020, CGSTL held the 2020 graduate thesis defense meeting in Changchun. According to the requirements of epidemic prevention and the actual situation of the company, the defense meeting innovatively adopted a combination of remote and on-site defense. Five doctoral students and three master's degree graduates trained by CGSTL participated in the defense, and the defense committee was composed of several teachers from CIOMP and Changchun University of Science and Technology.

In the scene of the defense meeting, the expert group listened to the report made by the postgraduates, and unanimously agreed that Chen shanbo, Yuan jian and other 5 doctoral students, Cui taiyu and other 3 postgraduate students passed the thesis defense, and recommended to award the doctoral and master degrees.

 At present, CGSTL has 5 doctoral supervisors and 7 master supervisors, specializing in optical engineering, mechanical manufacturing and automation, and mechanical and electronic engineering. Since its establishment in 2014, CGSTL has cultivated more than 60 master and doctor candidates with excellent engineering practice and academic level, and many research results have been successfully applied in engineering projects.
